Last week Amanda Grady asked me to speak to her Grade 2 class about my job as a librarian. I was one of four guests. One of the student's father is an architect for a large firm here and brought large, beautiful computer generated pictures of building they have designed. That was interesting to me, of course. Students had brainstormed for days in advance and were armed with a list of questions worthy of the Today Show. They wanted to know what route I had taken to become a librarian. Did I have special training. Is my job mostly fun or not? What do I like best about my job, and so on. That one is easy...the kids are the best part. I think the kids are
Beanstalk are amazing. They make every day fun and exciting.
