Wal er ma, Zai Nali?

Saturday, November 8th, Patty, Sophia, Janice and I took the 420 bus to Wangjing in search of Walmart and Carrefour. It was an expedition, a journey of exploration. Sometime during the week I'd heard that Walmart sounded something like "Wal Ma ka" so I tried to find out from the conductor where it was, but to no avail. Wal ma ka, zai nali? I asked, but all I got was a quizical look in response. She wanted to be helpful, but I obviously didn't have it quite right. No matter. Bill had taken me to Wangjing about a month ago and the landmarks started to look familiar. There it was....Wal ER ma...Wally World. The bus stopped at its front door which was just a block from the big Wangjing Mall. Since this is a Super Walmart, it had a large supermarket; so did the mall. In fact, it seems that large supermarkets can be found in the lower level of every mall, and that's where I saw the three little piggies in a basket that you see here. Aren't they cute?
